Koopman “Praise & Prayer”

August/Sept, 2008

Praise the Lord For:

Philippians 1: 3-6 “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.”

JJJ

J         Family had a great vacation time with daughter Rachel & her husband in NC.  Next vacation will be the last week of August to visit our daughter & son in law in Fairbanks AK.

J         New Clubs starting, so far three are trained and ready to go next month, several more are still in the process of considering Awana.

J         Our 20th year as Awana Missionaries!  Thanks for God’s faithfulness to us, and thank you for your prayers and support.

J         For churches and friends that support our passion and ministry for children.  With God’s help J and yours’J we are still in the black financially, PTL.

J         Our ministry teams who are doing a lot of work for us and with us during a summer full of training and presentations.

J         Family health, Val’s ear surgery resulted in great news, she is up to 70% hearing in the left ear and the doctor expects 90% in 6 weeks.  Roy’s eye surgery went well.  Roy’s brother Glenn is doing quite well healing from his wife’s passing to glory July 3rd.

Philippians 4:6 “be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

PRAY FOR

j Our new clubs starting in September, pray they are effective in reaching their community with the Gospel of Christ.

k Family vacation end of August, pray for safety and a good time of visiting & resting.  We will be gone from August 24th through September 2. (cell phones will not be available up there)

l Financial support - We could use $550.00 per month more to be at 100% support.  Pray that we would continue to look to God for our needed finances as we usually drive 3000 miles per month for Awana, and fuel costs . . . well, you know.  God is continuing to supply our needs.  We thank God every day for prayer and financial supporters.

m Churches without a pastor.  We all know the importance a pastor is to a churchJ

n Our physical and emotional strength as we continue to care for parents.

o Ministry growth over the summer and for all the kids who could be reached with the gospel and mentored through Awana Clubs.

p Our “Ministry Teams” as they continue to help with God’s Awana ministry in our areas.  Much training will be accomplished as result of their work.  About 5 training sessions this summer are left to do yet.

Remember, we pray for you, so keep us informed of your needs so that we can better uphold you before the Throne.
